Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary

The Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, situated in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India, is a vibrant sanctuary home to a diverse range of mammals, birds, and amphibians, including elephants and tigers. Spanning across a lush landscape, it offers a captivating experience for nature enthusiasts.

Guests have the opportunity to explore the sanctuary at two different time intervals: from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Nevertheless, it is crucial to understand that although the sanctuary offers a natural environment for wildlife, sightings of animals cannot be guaranteed as they have the freedom to roam.

The Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, which spans a substantial area, is recognized as the second largest wildlife sanctuary in the state of Kerala. Moreover, it forms an essential component of the esteemed Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, emphasizing its ecological importance.
