Thirunavaya Sree Nava Mukunda Temple

The Thirunavaya Nava Mukunda Temple is a 6,000-year-old Hindu temple located in Tirunavaya, Kerala, India. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his form as Nava Mukunda, which translates to “one who bestows nine blessings”. Situated on the northern bank of the Bharatappuzha river, the temple is approximately 8 km south of Tirur near Ponnani on Highway 17.

The temple is open from 5–11 AM and 5–7:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, and from 5–11:30 AM and 5–7:30 PM on Sunday. Visitors are asked to refrain from wearing shorts, mini-skirts, middies, sleeveless tops, low-waist jeans, and short-length T-shirts. Many individuals come to the temple to perform rituals in honor of their departed loved ones.
