Pookode Lake

Pookode Lake, also known as Pookot Lake, is a natural freshwater lake situated in the Wayanad district of Kerala, India. It holds the distinction of being the highest altitude freshwater lake in Kerala, and despite its small size of 5 hectares, it is a unique feature as it resembles the shape of India’s map.

Visitors to Pookode Lake can enjoy various activities such as kayaking and boating, explore a freshwater aquarium, spend time at a children’s park, and browse through a handicrafts and spices emporium. The lake is open to the public from 9 AM to 5 PM, and the entry fees are Rs 15 for adults and Rs 5 for children.
