Peralassery

Peralassery is located along the Anjarakandy river, approximately 12 km from Kannur and 15 km from the Kannur bus stand. This region is well-known for its cultural and natural attractions, including the Peralassery Subramanya Temple. This temple is a revered pilgrimage site believed to have been visited by Lord Rama and Lakshmana during the Hindu epic Ramayana. Dedicated to Lord Subramanya, the son of Lord Shiva, the temple is a significant religious destination in the area.

The temple is home to the historic “Ayanivayal Kulam,” which is acknowledged as one of India’s 75 water heritage sites.
