Miskhal Masjid

The Mishkal Palli Mosque, also known as the Mishkal Mosque, is a wooden mosque dating back to the 14th century located in Kuttichira, Kozhikode, Kerala. Constructed by Nakhooda Mishkal, a prosperous Yemeni merchant and ship-owner who was prominent in Calicut during the 1340s, this mosque is regarded as a significant historical, cultural, and architectural landmark in Kerala.

The mosque consists of four levels, 24 intricately carved wooden pillars, 47 elaborately carved doors, and a prayer hall that can accommodate approximately 400 individuals. It features an entrance paved with Italian tiles and a sizable tank adjacent to it. What sets this mosque apart is its lack of minarets or cupolas, making it a distinctive example of medieval mosques found in Kerala.
