Konni Forest Reserve is a protected forest land situated on the banks of the Achankovil River in Pathanamthitta. This forest land is a tranquil place to spend vacation time with the untouched nature all around. The Kuttavanchi [round shaped basket boat] boating, small streams nearby, and an Elephant Training Centre are the major attractions of this place. Apart from this, Konni is home to a decades-old timber trade center.
There is no entry fee to this place. And an average time of 3-5 hours can be spent here. Visitors can either explore the above-mentioned places or even have a nice walk in the clove and pepper plantations nearby. Overall this place is safe, even for kids and families, even though this is a dense forest. There are small shops nearby.
