The Indian Business Museum, situated at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode in Kozhikode, Kerala, India, was established in 2013 and holds the distinction of being the sole business museum in the country. Its primary objective is to gather, protect, and showcase the rich history of India’s business landscape.
The museum exhibits a variety of historical objects and artifacts related to business, such as replicas of ships used by Indians for trading, sculptures of Indus Valley weights and seals, models, photographs, documents, and illustrations depicting medieval and modern business history. Additionally, there are pavilions showcasing the history of businesses like the Tatas, Godrej, India Post, the Indian Navy, and SBI. The museum also houses a vast collection of books by prominent Indian economists.
The museum’s hours of operation are from 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Please note that the museum is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
