Sree Sundareswara Temple

The Sree Sundareswara Temple, located in Kannur, Kerala, India, is a well-known temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in the form of Sundareswara, the “God of Beauty”. Situated in the suburban area of Talap, the temple is approximately 2.5 kilometers from Kannur town and 2 kilometers from the Kannur Railway Station.

Constructed in 1916 by Sree Narayana Guru Devan and designed by Sri Chaithanyaall Swami, this temple promotes the message that “Everyone is beautiful” and encourages visitors to appreciate beauty in all aspects of life. The temple’s primary festival is Arattu, an eight-day celebration held in the Malayalam month of Meenam (March-April) annually. Operating hours are from 5 AM to 12 PM and 5 PM to 8:15 PM daily.
