Athirappilly Falls

Athirappilly Falls, also known as Bahubali Waterfall, is the largest waterfall in Kerala. It is situated in the Athirapilly Panchayat of Chalakudy Taluk in Thrissur District. Standing at a height of 81.5 feet, this waterfall has four drops and is a popular tourist attraction. The falls are located on the Chalakudy River, which originates in the Anaimalai mountains of the Western Ghats and flows through the Vazhachal Forest before reaching the Arabian Sea.

Located 63 kilometers from Thrissur district, the falls are open from Thursday to Sunday, from 8 AM to 6 PM, with the last admission at 5:30 PM. Known for their scenic beauty, especially during the monsoon season when the water cascades together resembling Niagara Falls, the top of the falls can be reached with a 15-minute walk from the entrance, offering breathtaking views of the Sholayar hills and the falls. The path to the bottom of the falls is rocky and approximately two kilometers long.
