Keraladeshapuram Temple

Keraladeshapuram Temple is a historic Hindu temple situated in Malappuram, Kerala, devoted to Lord Vishnu. The temple is located approximately 3 km south of Tanur town and is open to visitors from 7 AM to 5 PM. Entrance to the temple is free of charge. The temple is under the jurisdiction of the Malabar Devaswam Board and holds significance in Hindu mythology. The name Kerala was incorporated into the location prior to the formation of the state of Kerala. In 1546 AD, Francis Xavier made a visit to the temple, which was later plundered by Tipu Sultan.
