Madhur is renowned for the Madhur Sree Madanantheshwara-Siddhivinayaka Temple, a popular temple dedicated to Shiva and Ganapathi located on the banks of the Mogral river, also known as Madhuvahini. The temple is devoted to Anantheswara, a form of Lord Shiva known as “the god who defeated Kama, the god of desires”. It is situated approximately 8 kilometers from Kasaragod town. Other notable attractions in Madhur include the Ananthapura Lake Temple and Maipady Palace. The recommended months to visit the temple are September to February.
