The Thiruvananthapuram Zoological Park.

The Thiruvananthapuram Zoological Park, commonly referred to as the zoo, is situated in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Established in 1859 as an extension of the Napier Museum, it is among the oldest zoos in the country. Spanning across 30 acres of land, the zoo features two natural lakes, lush lawns, and woodlands. Housing approximately 82 species of animals, including lions, tigers, elephants, hippos, and zebras, it provides a diverse and enriching experience for visitors.

The zoo features a snake farm and reptile house showcasing both poisonous and non-poisonous snakes. Operating hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5:15 PM, with the zoo closed on Mondays. Many believe it is a great spot to enjoy quality time with family over the weekend.
