Arakkal Museum

The Arakkal Museum, situated in Kannur, Kerala, India, is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of the Arakkal family, the only Muslim royal family in the state. Housed within the durbar hall section of the 18th-century Arakkal Palace, this museum offers visitors a glimpse into the rich culture and traditions of this esteemed dynasty.

For centuries, the Arakkal Palace served as the seat of power for this royal family until the monarchy was abolished in 1971. In an effort to preserve their legacy, the museum was established in 2005 under the ownership of the Arakkal kingdom.

The Arakkal Museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, operating from 10 AM to 5 PM. However, please note that it is closed on Mondays.
