Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary

The sanctuary is renowned for its picturesque scenery, sweeping views of the river and the Arabian Sea, as well as diverse marine life including fish, crabs, and mussels. The optimal time to visit is during the early hours from December to April.

The Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary comprises a cluster of islands at the confluence of the Kadalundipuzha River and the Arabian Sea, nestled amidst hills. Between November and April, over 60 species of migratory birds, such as seagulls, terns, sandpipers, sand plovers, red and greenshanks, and turnstones, flock to this sanctuary.
